From 18 June 2020 to 31 January 2021, the first ever large-scale exhibition drawn from the collection of London’s National Gallery will take place at the National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo and the National Museum of Art, Osaka. Through an extensive selection of 61 masterpieces from the gallery’s collection, the exhibition gives an overview of the history of European painting by exploring the reciprocal relationship between British and continental European art.
